What a good week!! I learned an important principle this week about work. It really is something that we MUST do. And we must work hard to be happy. (obviously we can't go crazy, but..) Hard work is what our Heavenly Father expects of us. He told Adam and Eve that they would earn their bread through hard work. Sweat of the brow specifically. So hence, we are supposed to sweat and work HARD! Six days of work, HARD work, and then one day of rest (but not merely sleep). The Sabbath day is a day to reflect on the love that our Father in Heaven has for us, and to reflect on Christ's Atonement. Yes, we should do that everyday, but Sunday is a day set aside specifically for that purpose. What a perfect plan!
So this week we did a lot of tracting! Generally we don't do to much because it isn't always the best way, but it really is the way to do missionary work! We had a cool Bible study class on Thursday. There were 2 investigators there, and they both bore their testimony about the Gospel. It was very simple and profound. One statement that I loved that both of them said, "And then the Mormons came." <----------- People are prepared, waiting to accept our message, we just HAVE to do the work and find them so that they can change through Jesus Christ. What a perfect plan!
This email is short today, so sorry! One other really cool thing that someone said during sacrament meeting. He was reminiscing about his mission. He said that Elder Holland came to speak to them and he said, "Don't be the kind of missionary (or person) that the Lord has to hide the elect from because you aren't worthy." We must ALWAYS be worthy to share this glorious plan - the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Be obedient. Work hard. Read your scriptures. Get on your knees and pray often.
Share the gospel!
Love you all big time!
